Switch between light and dark themes to reduce eye strain. Follows your OS preference automatically, with manual override.
HotelClimb is designed and maintained to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and comply with India's Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPWD Act).
HotelClimb partially conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

The Display Settings panel (click the ☀️/🌙 icon in the navbar) gives every user direct control over their experience — no assistive technology required for the following features.
Switch between light and dark themes to reduce eye strain. Follows your OS preference automatically, with manual override.
WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with 19.6:1 contrast ratio. Yellow text on black background — the international standard for low-vision users.
WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with 19.6:1 contrast ratio. Black text on yellow background, used by UK government and global AT tools.
WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with the maximum achievable 21:1 contrast ratio. Cyan text on black background — preferred by users with photophobia or sensitivity to yellow.
Resize body text across four levels: Small (14px), Medium (16px), Large (18px), and Extra Large (20px) — all persisted across sessions.
Two additional contrast levels (High and Highest) that increase text and border visibility beyond standard rendering.
Disables all CSS animations and transitions for users with vestibular disorders. Respects the OS prefers-reduced-motion setting automatically.
Enlarged and high-visibility keyboard focus rings for all interactive elements — toggleable in the Display Settings panel.
Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Tab order follows logical reading order throughout the page.
A hidden skip-to-content link appears on first Tab keypress, allowing screen reader and keyboard-only users to bypass repeated navigation.
Proper heading hierarchy (h1–h6), landmark roles (main, nav, footer, aside), aria-label, aria-live regions, and role attributes throughout.
All meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with alt="" to be skipped by screen readers.
All accessibility settings (theme, font size, contrast, color scheme, motion, focus) are saved to localStorage and restored on return visits.
HotelClimb relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1.
Semantic landmark elements, proper heading hierarchy
Logical reading order independent of visual presentation
ARIA roles, properties, and states on interactive components
Focus management, live regions, keyboard event handling
Server-side rendering for immediate content availability
Persistent user accessibility preferences
Automatic dark/light theme from OS setting
Automatic motion reduction from OS setting

Despite our efforts, some content may not fully meet all accessibility standards. Known limitations are listed below along with their planned fix.
The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Act 49 of 2016) requires all establishments to take steps to ensure accessibility. HotelClimb's website adopts the digital accessibility requirements outlined under this Act and the associated National Policy for Persons with Disabilities.
We follow the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) which mandate WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance for public-facing digital content. Our conformance target is WCAG 2.1 AA, which is a superset of GIGW requirements.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), is the globally recognised standard for web accessibility. Our target conformance level is AA, with select AAA criteria also met (particularly color contrast in PWD color schemes).
A machine-readable accessibility conformance claim (JSON-LD) is available at /accessibility-conformance.json. This document is indexed by search engines and AI assistants to surface our accessibility capabilities.
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of HotelClimb. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us and we will work to address it promptly.
