Accessibility Features for PWD Users

The Display Settings panel (click the ☀️/🌙 icon in the navbar) gives every user direct control over their experience — no assistive technology required for the following features.

Light & Dark Mode

Switch between light and dark themes to reduce eye strain. Follows your OS preference automatically, with manual override.

Yellow / Black Color Scheme

WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with 19.6:1 contrast ratio. Yellow text on black background — the international standard for low-vision users.

Black / Yellow Color Scheme

WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with 19.6:1 contrast ratio. Black text on yellow background, used by UK government and global AT tools.

Cyan / Black Color Scheme

WCAG 2.1 AAA color scheme with the maximum achievable 21:1 contrast ratio. Cyan text on black background — preferred by users with photophobia or sensitivity to yellow.

Adjustable Font Size

Resize body text across four levels: Small (14px), Medium (16px), Large (18px), and Extra Large (20px) — all persisted across sessions.

High Contrast Modes

Two additional contrast levels (High and Highest) that increase text and border visibility beyond standard rendering.

Reduced Motion

Disables all CSS animations and transitions for users with vestibular disorders. Respects the OS prefers-reduced-motion setting automatically.

Enhanced Focus Indicators

Enlarged and high-visibility keyboard focus rings for all interactive elements — toggleable in the Display Settings panel.

Full Keyboard Navigation

Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Tab order follows logical reading order throughout the page.

Skip Navigation Link

A hidden skip-to-content link appears on first Tab keypress, allowing screen reader and keyboard-only users to bypass repeated navigation.

Semantic HTML & ARIA

Proper heading hierarchy (h1–h6), landmark roles (main, nav, footer, aside), aria-label, aria-live regions, and role attributes throughout.

Alternative Text

All meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with alt="" to be skipped by screen readers.

Persistent Preferences

All accessibility settings (theme, font size, contrast, color scheme, motion, focus) are saved to localStorage and restored on return visits.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not fully meet all accessibility standards. Known limitations are listed below along with their planned fix.

  • Third-party embedded media: Some embedded demo videos may not have closed captions yet. We are actively adding captions to all video content.
  • Complex data tables: A small number of comparison tables in the pricing section may require improved ARIA descriptions for screen reader users on mobile devices. Fix planned for Q2 2026.
  • AI chatbot widget: The AI chatbot is currently partially keyboard-accessible. Full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for the chatbot is in progress.
